Renew 169 Wellbeing Café

Located at 169 High Street, Towcester. It describes itself as a quiet shared space for those with emotional or mental health difficulties. It is also a place for people to go who otherwise may feel lonely or isolated and also has a Carer’s Support Group each Tuesday lunchtime. As of 4th October 2022 they are doing hot light lunches. Details of their events, opening hours etc.

South Northants Carers Lunch (Greens Norton)

Takes place on the 3rd Thursday of each month at Greens Norton Community Centre, Towcester Road NN12 8BL. A chance for carers to meet and have discussions but they can also bring along the cared for person. Contact is Jenny Osborne on 01933 677907 option 1.

Heartbeats (Support Group) Towcester

Heartbeats (Support Group) Towcester are a very friendly and informal group of people who have either experienced cardiac health issues or are a partner/parent/carer of a cardiac patient. We meet in Towcester on the 3rd Thursday of the month in the evening, at The Forum. Call Annie on 075541 50870 to find out more.

Brackley Carers’ Café (Northamptonshire Carers)

Occurs on the 4th Wednesday of each month, between 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Town Hall, 9 Market Place, Brackley NN13 7AB. Just drop-in.

Brackley Care Home

Hosts Northamptonshire Carers’ Drop-in and Support sessions between 10:00am and noon on the 4th Wednesday. Refreshments, support, listening, advice.

Roade Coffee Morning

Roade Coffee Morning is hosted by St Mary’s Church and takes place on the first Monday of the month between 10:00am to 12:00pm. Northamptonshire Carers also host a drop-in session at this event.   

Towcester Carers’ Coffee Morning (Northamptonshire Carers)

Takes place on the 2nd Wednesday each month, between 10:00am to 12:00pm at The Saracens Head, 219 Watling Street, Towcester NN12 6BX. (For all 3 of the above groups, further information can be sought via 01933 677907 Option 1).

Parkinson’s Café (Towcester)

Takes place on the first Tuesday of the month at Bell Plantation Café between 11:00am to 12:30pm. For more information contact Julia Dickerson on 07981 120269.

Parkinson’s Support Group

Parkinson’s Support Group commences on Thursday 4th May 2023, 11am to 12.30 at Brackley Leisure Centre. This group is run by Claire Readman from Mental Health Friends and Ruth who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s back in 2016. The aim of the group is support, information and friendship. Singing for the Brain

Singing for the Brain takes place at Green’s Norton Community Centre each Monday 10am to 11:30am and is run by Northants Alzheimer’s Society. This a friendly, inclusive group for both the carer and the cared for person. For more information or call them on 07595 968240.

Memory Matters (Towcester)

Memory Matters (Towcester) is run by Northamptonshire Alzheimer’s Society on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. This is a group for both the carer and the person living with dementia. Described as a supportive, friendly, fun and social environment. It is based around music therapy and provides a reassuring, confidential and safe place to talk to others about how dementia affects you. Parkinson’s Café (Billing Garden Village)

Offers people affected by Parkinson’s and their families a chance to meet in an informal setting. The 3rd Wednesday each month 2:00pm to 3:30pm at the All Seasons’ Café. Free of charge. Purchase of own refreshments. Primary contact is Pat Endicott on 07564 743891.

(Dementia Café) Brook House, Towcester

Offers an opportunity to share experiences in a safe and supportive environment and features various speakers. Meetings take place at 2:00pm to 3:30pm on the last Thursday of every month.
